Tiana graduated from The Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Science, a four academic year professional degree curriculum designed to prepare graduates to be effective, competent, and caring members of the Chinese medicine profession in 2021.Tiana holds a Diplomate of Acupuncture as of February 2022, and currently is licensed as an Acupuncturist in Washington, California, and Hawaii.
Tiana’s acupuncture practice is informed by over 19 years of experience as a professional body piercer. This has offered Tiana the opportunity to closely observe, and interact with, thousands of people's ears. They bring this unique and nuanced experience into their practice of auricular acupuncture.
A recent transplant to Jefferson County, Tiana has most recently worked with the Oakland Acupuncture Project, a community acupuncture clinic in California. This high volume clinic centered a way for the community to access high quality, affordable healthcare without relying on insurance companies. As Bell Hooks states in All About Love, “Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.” Taking this as a key principle informing Tiana’s clinical practice of community acupuncture; they’re dedicated to cultivating the collective energy of many treatments happening at once making individual treatments more powerful. Tiana meets their patients in an accompaniment through each individual's wellness journey via the incremental reliefs of community acupuncture.
